• Herbicide resistance assessments and molecular mechanisms of resistance in weeds
• Understanding the physiology and molecular biology of weed species adaptation to management tools and environmental changes
• Herbicide-resistant crop trait discovery through mutagenesis and classical approaches
• Utilization of weedy/wild relatives of crops as a source of germplasm for crop improvement
• Understanding gene flow and hybridization between crops and weedy/wild relatives
