Professional Summary
Specialty: Cotton agronomy & physiology
Research:
Since the high plains region’s main challenge is water availability, my research will focus on water use efficiency, row spacing, seeding rates, and variety evaluations.
Extension program:
The main focus of my extension program is the Replicated Agronomic Cotton Evaluation (RACE) trials across the high plains, which provide growers unbiased comparisons of varieties from large-plot, on-farm trials that closely approximate commercial conditions. Additionally, these trials provide county extension agents training opportunities to gain more expertise in cotton.
