Professional Summary

Specialty: Turfgrass management and ecology

Research efforts:
My research program in Turfgrass Science focuses on developing sustainable, high-performance turf systems for golf courses, athletic fields, and urban landscapes. I integrate applied field trials with studies on soil–plant–environment interactions to optimize turfgrass quality and resilience under varying levels of traffic, wear, and environmental stress. Key areas include best management practices for warm-season grasses, root zone modification, and precision nutrient management. In addition to sports turf, I investigate the role of lawns in urban microclimates and their environmental footprint, with the goal of improving ecosystem services in residential and public green spaces. My work provides science-based solutions that enhance turf performance, sustainability, and functionality across multiple turfgrass systems.

Teaching efforts:
I will be teaching undergraduate and graduate courses yet to be determined.
