Professional Summary

Joseph Burke, Ph.D.’s research and extension program works to enhance agricultural resiliency in semi-arid regions through sustainable soil, water, and weed management. Burke’s systems-based approach utilizes field experiments and laboratory analyses coupled with advanced technology to provide agriculturalists with best management practices that are prescriptive to the Southern High Plains. This program works collaboratively with other Research and Extension faculty, commodity groups, and industry to answer producer questions and tackle local, state, regional, and national challenges.
