HS and Transfer SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION          Outside Scholarships Available

INCOMING FRESHMEN. Competitive scholarships in the Soil & Crop Sciences department are available for academically outstanding freshmen.

Criteria

  • Minimum combined Math and Verbal SAT score of 1250
  • Top ten percent of graduating class
  • Accepted in a major offered by the Department of Soil & Crop Sciences
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPR at Texas A&M, College Station
  • Maintain full time student status at Texas A&M, College Station

 Deadline:

  • Freshmen deadline: December 1st

TRANSFER STUDENTS who meet the criteria may receive up to $2,000 per semester for two years – up to a total of $8,000

Criteria for transfer students are:

  • Accepted by Texas A&M University in a major offered by the Soil and Crop Sciences Department
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA on at least 24 graded semester hours of transferable collegiate courses (may include high school AP courses)
  • 12 credit hours in math, biology and chemistry
    • MATH 140, 141, 142, 150, 151, 152
    • BIOL 111 or 101
    • CHEM 101/111
  • Transcript from Registrar (from all previous colleges)
  • Three letters of recommendation – 2 academic and 1 personal
  • Maintain a 3.0 or better as a full time student at Texas A&M, College Station
  • Transfer Course Equivalency

Deadline to apply:

  • Fall transfers: March 15
  • Spring transfers: October 15
