Specialty: Cotton Extension
My primary goal as the state-wide cotton specialist is to provide leadership and coordination of research, extension, and industry, with producers input, and to increase the sustainability and profitability of cotton production in Texas. This will be accomplished with focused educational programming and applied research programs for Texas cotton. Educational programming will occur across the state in cooperation with Extension Agronomists, county agents, IPM agents, and research colleagues. My applied research interests include evaluating fertility and pest management programs, cultural practices, and new technologies. Results of these research activities will be an increase in knowledge of new technologies and production management strategies.
