Specialty: Statewide leadership in small grain and oil seed crops Extension

Research and Extension efforts:
My research interest relates to understanding the major underlying plant, environmental, and crop management factors associated with the observed gap between yield potential and yield observed at the farm in wheat across the different wheat production areas in Texas. The overall intent of the effort is to further improving the profitability of wheat production in Texas through the identification and effective transfer of crop management strategies conducive to yield increase and end-use-quality improvement at the farm. My Extension agenda includes uniform variety testing, soil nutrient management, weed control, insect and disease control, and cropping systems in small grains and oil seed crops in Texas.
