Research focus:
My research program focuses on assessing and establishing best management practices to improve productivity, resource use efficiency, and environmental and ecological sustainability of traditional and alternative cropping systems in Texas and beyond. We emphasize precision agriculture technologies, especially non-destructive remote sensing techniques, in an effort to improve production efficiency and reduce environmental impacts of agriculture. Among other research aspects, integration of current sensing technologies, agronomic data and big data analytics to develop real-time decision support tools is of particular interest to my program.
