We are seeking a highly motivated student to pursue a Ph.D. graduate degree beginning fall 2019 with a focus on turfgrass breeding.

Research will involve development and integration of phenotyping (UAS- and ground-based) and genotyping technologies in turfgrass breeding. This breeding project is expected to have a strong interface with computer science; therefore, interest in data processing and analytics is important.

Student will be expected to spend at least two consecutive semesters in College Station completing the required coursework, and the remainder of their time at the AgriLife Research Center in Dallas.

Applicants must hold a M.S. degree with a background in plant science, computer science, breeding, genetics, agronomy or a related field.
