Description

This is a full-time position, nine-month initial appointment with possibility of extension and potential for summer employment.

This position requires the candidate to teach 4-6 courses (12-18 credit hours) per semester. Reduced course load available with departmental service activities including, managing Career Development Events, greenhouses, gardens and orchard and assisting with research projects. Course load will include Floral Design and other plant and soil science classes as needed. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate program and is expected to assist with advising a student organization.

Qualifications

An earned doctorate or master’s degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, or other closely related fields. Desired areas of interest include landscape horticulture and floral design. Excellent communication skills are required. Applicant must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Green industry work and/or college teaching experiences are preferred.
