Your daily responsibilities include Assists with the overall upkeep and maintenance of the Golf Course (i.e. seeding, irrigating, mowing, fertilizing and landscape planning). Maintains accurate records on computerized irrigation practices, chemical treatments and all equipment maintenance. Informs Golf Course/Grounds Superintendent of any problems that may arise. Ensures that all equipment is maintained and operated according to departmental safety standards. Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members. Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in department. Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in your state of residence and maintain a clean driving record. Must have driver's license on their person at all times. Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
- Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older. Previous Golf Course and Irrigation experience required. Prefer individual with 2 years experience as an assistant. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Some computer skills required. MS Commercial Pesticide Applicator license. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Golfing ability. Ability of pass basic math test. Organizational skills a must While performing the duties of this job, the cast member is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The cast member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the cast member is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The cast member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
