This is a tenure-track 9-month position in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences with a focus on corn and small grain agronomics.
The successful candidate will conduct research on cultural practices influencing corn and small grain production systems, work closely with faculty and staff with multiple departments at MSU, teach a split-level grain corp production course, and participate in supervising and training graduate students
Ph.D. in agronomy, crop or soil science or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Applicant must also have excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated ability of organizational and leadership skills, and willingness to work in a team environment.
Preferred qualifications include a strong row crop background and familiarity with modern agricultural production practices. Teaching experience in plant science or grain crop production is highly desireable.
