Incoming Freshmen Scholarships

Scholarship Description

  1. Academically outstanding Freshman are eligible for a scholarship in amounts up to $1,000 per semester.

Scholarship Criteria

  1. Minimum combined Math and Verbal SAT score of 1250
  2. Top ten percent of graduating class
  3. Accepted in a major offered by the Department of Soil & Crop Sciences
  4. Maintain a 3.0 GPR at Texas A&M, College Station
  5. Maintain full time student status at Texas A&M, College Station

Transfer Student Scholarships

Scholarship Description

  1. Academically outstanding Transfer students are eligible for a scholarship in amounts up to $4,000 per year for 2 years, a total of $8,000.

Scholarship Criteria

  1. Minimum 3.2 GPR on at least 24 graded semester hours of transferable collegiate courses (can include up to 12 High School AP hours).
  2. 12 credit hours in math and science.
  3. Completed Freshman English (ENGL 1301 or equivalent).
  4. Accepted in a major offered by the Department of Soil & Crop Sciences
  5. Three letters of recommendation (2 - Academic, 1 - Personal)
  6. Transcript from Registrar (all previous colleges)
  7. Must maintain a 3.0 GPR while attending Texas A&M University

Aggie Leader Scholarship Applications now Available [top]

Scholarships & Financial Aid along with the Southerland Aggie Leader Scholarship Selection Committee are pleased to announce that the 2008- 2009 application is now available for students to submit.

These scholarships are limited to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who will have completed one long semester at Texas A&M at the time of application. Each recipient will receive up to $1,000 for the 2008-2009 academic year. Students can apply online at http://scholarships.tamu.edu.
