This graduate student will work on a project relevant to molecular breeding of tetraploid blackberries, and will be expected to participate in cultivar development activities in blackberry peach and muscadine grape.

This project will require extensive travel from Fayetteville to the UA Fruit Research Station in Clarksville, AR, about 90 miles away.

Half-time assistantship provides stipend and full tuition waiver.

B.S. in horticulture, crop science, genetics or a related field, and experience in applied plant breeding and/or fruit production are preferred.

Candidate must also be able to meet the admission requirements of the UA graduate school and the horticulture department.
